Parmigiana di Nopales
A delightful twist on a classic, Parmigiana di Nopales is a flavor-packed revelation. The tender grilled nopales bring a smoky, slightly tangy essence that pairs beautifully with the rich, slow-simmered tomato sauce. Melted cheese drapes over each layer like a warm hug, while fresh herbs add the perfect aromatic lift. It's hearty, comforting, and surprisingly fresh---like if your Nonna took a detour through Mexico. At $20, it's a dish that feels both familiar and adventurous, and one that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. A must-try for anyone who appreciates creative, cross-cultural cuisine.

Birria Lasagna
This was such a unique take on lasagna and super tasty! Almost everyone in our group got this and loved it. It's definitely really filling and a ton of food, so you won't leave hungry (and I eat big portions). It was great leftover, too!
Black Bavette Steak
The food here is absolutely amazing! I was initially skeptical about the Italian-Mexican fusion, but it truly exceeded my expectations. The Black Bavette steak was the perfect main course for me---extremely tender and bursting with flavor. The sides were excellently paired, with just the right amount of polenta and treviso. I also had the opportunity to taste the Branzino, and it was phenomenal. The mix of sauces was incredible, making it a must-try dish! The desserts were a hit as well, with my favorite being the Cheesecake Margarita. It was so smooth and tasty; I've never had anything like it. Definitely a fantastic place to eat!
Wood Fire Oven Organic Chicken Alle Erbe
This chicken flavor blend had a delicate mix of aromatics! It was more than a perfect portion. The vegetables were deliciously seasoned and the side corn was my favorite!

Honestly, I didn't know what to think about the idea of fusion between these two particular food types, but was blown away by the execution skill and obvious attention the detail that went into the quality of the food at Modi. Would not hesitate to recommend this to my circle of highly epicurean clients and friends in the Bay Area.
Cauliflower Al Pastor
I was excited to try this plate, the flavor was ok but I didn't taste al pastor , I think is missing the grill pineapple and a sauce on top to make it more flavorful. But we also tried the ravioli and it was amazing, my husband order the risotto , the flavor and presentation was incredible the bone marrow gives it another level of texture and balance!! Super delicious.
Achiote Pesto Branzino Fusio
The branzino was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and tender fish. The potatoes (on the side) were out of this world! Amazing texture , they were crispy and well seasoned but not dry. The two sauces on the fish complimented each other well. Outstanding flavors
Branzino Pesto & Achiote Fusion
Delicious fish, even our two year old loved it! Crispy skin, really fun to have two flavors on the two sides of the fish. The potatoes that came with it were excellent as well.
Pizza Al Pastor
Delicious pizza. The Al pastor was flavorful, pineapple added a nice touch. Dough was good too.
